Family Business of the Year Award
In 2022 at the Hertfordshire SME Business Awards, we were delighted to be the Gold Winner of the Family Business of the Year Award.
Family is a major part of who M. K. Ginder & Sons are. As a family business now run by the 2nd generation, we pride ourselves on looking after and caring for the families we serve.
Winning the Hertfordshire Award has nominated us for the National Family Business of the Year Award.
Watford Business of the Year Award
In 2022 at the Hertfordshire SME Business Awards, we received the Silver Award for Watford Business of the Year.
Watford is where M. K. Ginder & Sons was founded in 1983, and over the past four decades we have built a foundation in the town, serving Watfordians across the borough and across South West Hertfordshire, with care and attention.
We are proud of our Watford heritage, to be able to support local business and organisations, and to have served the families of our town.
Hertfordshire Heroes Award
In 2021 we received the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce Hertfordshire Heroes Award for our services to the community during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The award recognised the exceptional levels that the team at M. K. Ginder & Sons went to during the pandemic, putting themselves and their own families at risk in the continued effort to care and serve our community through the pandemic with dignity and respect.
Charitable Business Award
In 2017 we were recognised by Watford Borough Council at their Audentior Awards receiving the Charitable Business Award.
These awards recognise local individuals, charities, associations, and businesses within the Watford Area for their contribution to the Town and Local Residents.
The award recognised the many years of fundraising and support we have provided for both local and national charities.
Partnerships
M. K. Ginder & Sons work with a number of local organisations to provide support for the services we provide to the families we serve. We also have partnerships with local organisations to support the work they do in the community.
SA Law
SA Law are a firm of Local Solicitors, based in St. Albans and London that provide legal services to the families that we care for. SA Law are able to provide Probate, Estate Administration, Will Writing and Property Conveyance. We work closely with SA Law to ensure we are providing the best services to our families.
Rennie Grove
Peace Hospice Care
M. K. Ginder & Sons have worked together with both Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Peace Hospice Care previously and are excited about the merger between the two organisations and how this will better serve and care for those who require their assistance.
M. K. Ginder & Sons had formally been Business Partners with both Hospices, supporting many different campaigns and events over many years including their Light Up a Life Christmas Services.
M. K. Ginder & Sons will continue to support the new Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care as part of their new Business Partner Programme and will assist the Patrons and Vice-Patrons with the awareness and support of the organisation in the wider community.
Watford FC
The Ginder Family and M. K. Ginder & Sons have been associated with Watford FC in different ways for over 18 years. Originally as the Official Matchball Sponsors we sponsored over 350 consecutive home games. As Premium Business Partners we continue to work closely with the club within the community connecting local businesses with the Football Club. In 2017 we were honoured to be asked to conduct the Funeral of the former England and Watford Manager, Graham Taylor OBE.
